Ecological Solutions works closely with Fonterra throughout New Zealand providing services to secure and monitor wastewater and stormwater discharges and water takes. We have recently worked with Raukawa and Fonterra to successfully develop and implement a stream water quality assessment using Matauranga Maori and applying the Cultural Health Index (CHI) methodology. This project has been one of the first applications of the CHI to assess the effects of a discrete activity in New Zealand and has provided an opportunity for Ecological Solutions, Fonterra and Raukawa to engage, collaborate and share in the learning process.
